One of only two known copies in the world!

For those of you who are deadly serious about owning the Northern Soul anthems in their very rarest "beyond challenging" releases. Here is the withdrawn and unique prototype for Northern Soul classic of COBBLESTONE - Trick Me, Treat Me - previously undocumented off-the-scale rarity, with only two known copies out there.

From 1968 to 1971 New York based "Yellow Brick Road" recorded for Laurie records without breaking through into the big time, even though they tried with 9 releases. Prolific writing team Billy Carl & Reid Whitelaw had a rethink of the artist credit of this 45 they had high hopes of becoming a hit. Withdrawing it before release then relaunching it as "Cobblestone", it made very little difference and again sales frustratingly never hit for "Yellow Brick Road" no matter how this tight group were packaged.

First starting life as a legendary Richard Searling cover/up under the guise of "The Tempos - Love Me Like A Man". It certainly was flush with the same ingredients as "Countdown Here I Come". Another RS Secret Sound that rocketed to become a Wigan Casino polarizing monster, packing the dancefloors all over the country. Later on, equally as motivating the crowd at Cleethorpes Winter Gardens. The perfect Northern Soul dance fuel for those long all-night sessions.

Yellow Brick Road / Cobblestone found Northern Soul success again as Billy Carl & Reid Whitelaw went for a 3rd. name change; releasing the stunning "Magic Night - If You And Had Never Met”

Before you today is a Rarest Of The Rare previously undocumented Northern Soul anthem, for those of you who chase those "impossibles" of Northern Soul - they just don't come any rarer than this!
