UNISSUED - 1968 7" Bell Sound acetate!

At first I thought WOW a magnificent Tobi Legend, Laine Hill, Gerri Granger style Northern Soul sister dancer, that would have been an absolute Wigan Casino smash! But after further uinvestigation I think this could be the voice of Billy Carl from Billy and and the Essentials.

A killer version from a 1968 of a Reid Whitelaw creation, the man who gave us Cobblestone - Trick Me Treat Me . This vastly superior soulful version, was most likely a "dry-run" for the rock group The Magic Fleet's - recording on Hot Biscuit 1453, a great blue-eyed version maybe, but doesn't get even close to the "magic" this beautiful vocal emits over the top of a rich aerial male-group harmony chorus "The Essentials" we surmise.

Instantly beckoning Northern Soul, that ticks all those allniter boxes, just perfect for the NS DJ seeking an exclusive with that instant appeal likely to elevate his turntable standing.

The more I play it, the more I fall in love its simplistic charms, and that stunning voice...I'm now utterly addicted, as I play it for the 5th. time in a row.

Brilliant crowd-pleasing Northern Soul perched and ready to happen!

Condition Report

Two clean labels, bright glossy untainted acetate, revealing just a few soft surface blemishes, still housed in its birth-sleeve.
