The fabled and serious elusive Tymes miss-press that credits “Here She Comes” but plays “I Won’t Cry (Anymore)”

When Philly guys Donald Banks, Albert Berry, Norman Burnett, and George Hilliard hooked up with Billy Jackson & Jimmy Wisner, between them they created some truly classy vocal group recordings. For the Northern Soul community "Here She Comes" & "What Would I Do" are held dear as timeless NS classics. So when Parkway released The Tymes revamp of the Johnny Mathis standard "The Twelfth Of Never" on Parkway 933. A brief masterplate mix-up pressed " I Won't Cry (Anymore) " onto the flipside, instead of the credited " Here She Comes". This error was obviously quickly noted as the chances of playing the "Here She Comes" and the wonderful " I Won't Cry (Anymore) " greeting your ears, is very remote indeed.

This miss-press is the only way you can acquire "I Won't Cry (Anymore) " on 7" vinyl, there is no reissue. It is a very challenging 45 to find, incorporating a stunning blend of Northern Soul, Popcorn and vocal group harmony gliding through a full orchestra arrangement, swirling strings, with vibrant Guiro scraping, those infectious Latin under-currents inviting you to dance to this superior Philly mid-tempo delight.

RARE indeed, it is quite a while since we've had a copy of this to enjoy once again.
