Description

Description

Snarling 1968 Brooklyn, New York Garage produced by Jerry Ross in one of his rare moments of aggressive studio creativity.

Manny Roth booked The Raves as a regular act at his legendary Café Wha on MacDougal Street and Minetta Lane in the Greenwich Village where they built quite a fanbase. The venue weas a springboard for many illustrious Rock careers,Bruce Springsteen, The Velvet Underground, Kool & the Gang, all graced the stage at Café Wha. Not to mention iconic comedians would ply their trade Woody Allen, Lenny Bruce, Joan Rivers, Richard Pryor would make Café Wha a go-to place.

The Raves played there regular, Jerry Ross and his team produced and promoted them, whilst the driving force of The Raves, Dave & Mike Jimenez would create the lyrics and music. After three Smash 45's all of which failed to hit, they parted company with Jerry Ross. Leaving a legacy of 3 highly collectable Garage rarities. This one "Everything's Fire" being their most vocally "angry", matched by equally hostile guitar backing. Unfortunately for these hopefuls, unlike many that trod before, worldwide fame eluded them.

A hard 45 to acquire in this peak condition.

Condition Report

Two bright white promo labels, release date JUN 14 1968 rubber stamping, rubber-stamped approval by "Dorothy Lake - President" on the stereo side. Vinyl carries full gloss, only revealing the merest light sleeve storage hairlines when toitled in the light. As you can hear it plays flawless. Seldom see in such clean condition.
