Motown scholars will not need reminding just how incredibly elusive a clean example of this "My Girl" picture cover is; featuring The Temps in a cool, relaxed mood, just like the Smokey Robinson crafted love song "My Girl" that became worldwide smash hit.

Smokey originally wrote it with The Miracles in mind, but after hearing David Ruffin sing lead Smokey just knew David's raw, edgy vocal would be the best choice for the song, not his own seamless soaring falsetto. In the studio, "My Girl" was the first Temptations single that featured David Ruffin on lead vocals. Previously, Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams had performed most of the group's lead vocals. A twist of fate, led to Ruffin joining the group as a replacement for former Temptation Elbridge Bryant.

While on tour "Smokey decided on David after hearing him lead on the Drifters' "Under the Boardwalk". Robinson considered Ruffin as the perfect vocal to elevate "My Girl" he believed a certain hit.

But never dreamt just how big of a hit.

The value of coarse lies in the picture cover and how unusually clean it it. Extremely difficult to acquire, rare witnessed in clean condition.

Act accordingly, acknowledging it as a rare and stunning "framer" and massive investment potential purchase.
