This immensely popular Northern Soul dancefloor-igniter throughout the 90's, has again dropped right-back into favour with its swirling charismatic Philadelphia girl-group charms, oozing out of every aerial phrase emitted from that heavenly lead vocal.

A record saturated in the power to trigger uplift to everyone within range of its graceful invitation to dance. Classy Northern Soul bouncing right back into big demand. Surprising nobody really as it's spellbinding charms have been sorely missed.

Whether these girls are the same gathering Al Casey guided in Chicago with two earlier 45 releases, is unclear but they are certainly a seasoned girl team equipped with an ease for tight flowing harmonies as proven on the flipside "Teardrops" another fabulous mid-60's recording saturated in seductive witchery, but lacking the magical entrancing qualities Ugene Dozier fosters in just 2:30 seconds of pure girl-group joy with "Have Faith In Me".

Dozier of course was one a willing pupil of Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff era, one of the many writer/producers feeding of the Philly feeding frenzy to create Soul hits. Ugene Lloyd Dozier aka Billy Jackson or when in Detroit "Billy The Kid" traveled the length and breadth of the USA learning his trade. Spending time in Los Angeles making that immortal Northern Soul rarity by The Groovettes on Reness or co-writing material for The Blossoms. Or in Detroit working with George Clinton at Golden World and Solid Hit Eugene Dozier was gathering a lifetime of experience and knowledge of his craft in a short time span. In 1965 it all dropped into place with this simplistic, but enthralling girl group masterpiece. That never hit , but grabbed the imagination of Europe Northern Soul scene years later.

So very addictive, it was a real pleasure today, listening to it 3 times in a row.

Top-drawer mid-sixties Philadelphia Northern Soul that has been on furlough for far too long.
