Independent but beautifully rich Sweet Soul from a five man Washington, D.C. gathering, guided by Bob Morgan and "Shrine's" Karl Kidd, released on Morgan's own D.I.Y. label.

Their very first 45 together is a dreamily constructed Sweet Soul stroller, with Charles Blagmon's beseeching lead voice, carefully cradled by wealth of harmony voices. A cutting falsetto pierces the air, a booming bass vocal raps etra love into the proceedings, silky tenors, all meld into a cloud of Soulful harmony.

This highly talented group went on to form the foundations for "The Choice Four" who flourished so well, under the stewardship of Van McCoy and Joe Cobb with 3 strong albums and several highly regarded singles.

This 45 is a tough one to acquire, a sweet soul experience with every component riveted in place, this is a song that rivals the great-groups of the time. The East Coast giants like The Delfonics, Manhattans, Blue Notes etc. could not have executed it better.

This is what independent Soul is all about, a team of young hopeful recording brilliance and moving on to bigger and better things..

Killer tune..
