This weeks R&B Blues slammer comes from younger brother of Brownie McvGhee. “Sticks” was famous with Blues circles for singing about “Whiskey, Women And Gambling” and all the joys it brought him.

Before you is an extremely rare 7” 45 dating right back to 1954 when most record buyers were still purchasing shellac 78’s this disc passed by everyone unnoticed. A quick google will underline its extreme rarity as a 45.

Both sides feature Prince Babbs on Bass, Irving Brown on Drums,
Bubba Brooks on Sax, Fletcher Smith on Piano, with Granville “sticks” McGhee wealding his trusty guitar, whilst growling out his expertise of bars and wild women.

Both sides will please jump-Blues and R&B dance DJ’s, but also those 45 collectors who will surely never see a cleaner copy ever listed, of a very elusive disc.

Condition is spectacular, rarity is as harsh as hell..
