The seldom seen May 1969 British press in fabulous unblemished condition.

This five man gathering from Sacramento, serve up a delightful uplifting horn driven feelgood dance tune, that became a British Northern Soul anthem from the very first year of Northern Soul's Golden decade of the 1970's. No stranger to crafting inspiring Northern Soul dancers Al Capps and Mira's Sonny Knight provide the Spiral Starecase with their only significant USA hit, with their 3rd release, which ironically failed to registered in the UK at all; quickly deleted but soon discovered by those Northern Soul pioneer British create-diggers seeking the next possible Soul club spin.

Blue-eyed they may be, but their vocal seamlessly meld into a gloriously flow cradling Pat Upton's softly growling voice, heavy Vinny Parello percussion, swirling Harvey Kaye keyboard, an hard-blow Dick Lopes saxophone with Bobby Raymond pulsating bass guitar dance rhythms. Add to that Al Capps expert orchestral direction of rich blaring horns, you've got perfect Northern Soul dancefloor fuel for the masses.

One of those truly adorable classics you never tire of hearing or dancing to.

Presented here as a flawless, highly desirable British press.
