You cannot possibly talk about "Rare and underplayed" Northern Soul without mentioning this awesome NS vocal group dancer featuring the dulcet tones of Northern Soul hero, Morris Chestnut.

Part of a five man team, who weave a pulsating Northern Soul dance groove, backed up with a soulful mid-tempo delicacy that has yet to get the turntable attention, it too surely deserves. All guided by the skilled hand of top L.A. arranger and future Motown-wheel James Anthony Carmichael.

Sound-Master write their own song, then a subtle guitar intro James Carmichael drums up an almighty horn propelled arrangement, taking it up and away into breath-taking high-octane moments, with crashing crescendos complimented by rich harmony vocals, soaring from one peak to another.

This is real-deal Northern Soul begging the question why thumping masterpiece hasn't taken the Northern Soul scene decades ago? The simple answer is, there was never been a consistent DJ push in the past. But now there's the internet to help get it started. A Northern Soul rarity of this quality should never just be hidden away in collections... when it shimmers with blatant power to ignite an allniter dancefloor.

Then there's the Sweet Soul harmony flipside, that has just again blown me away, after years of not hearing it.

Two top-drawer sides begging for some up and coming DJ's to remind the old-school how it used to be done..
