Sharon Tandy the South African girl who made her mark in London singing Soul and Psychedelia as the MOD scene boom so did her career.

This is her 2nd. single for Pye and like her first so very seldom comes to market. Here is a rare 1965 British Promo copy of a MOD/Northern Soul Hipshaker recording hidden away on the flipside of a typically British "Dusty" influenced floater. Atmospherically haunting but no as strong as the flip also written by Billy Kimber.

An explosive girl Hipshaker, with a lengthy whiny girl holding on the lyrics, that really enhances the production. Already benefiting from strong chorus, rhythmic guitar pumping horns and you've got a great Brit-Soul production driven by relemntless percussion.

Sharton was vocally perfect for blending Blue Eyed Soul with the upcoming Psychedelic scene..

A song that encompasses everything MOD, Carnaby Street, Flares, Union Jacks and Mini Cooper's etc. whilst today also being chased on it's brief USA ABC 10742 1965 release. Not an easy find.. but asa flawless 1965 Britrish Denmo it's a prize for the British Soul/Mod collector.
