1971 Crazy Joe (Gibbs) blank with handwritten credits.

aka ""Keep The trouble Down" one of Ruddy "Jah's" best recordings guided by Joe Gibbs, that surprisingly didn't sell well, even though Ruddy's expertise with the horns elevated this song right up there with the finest of Jamaica's social conscience songs of the time. A student of Joe Gibbs for many years, this is one of Rudy's very most memorable recordings. Thought-provoking lyrics of the trouble on the streets of Kingston. Houses burning down, people begging, his loved ones crying and some are dying . The session rises up, hoisted above the turmoil, on the back of those wonderfully blown horns.

Strong dance pulses, throughout, made this a "miss" that decades later, many are now chasing ownership of.

Flip it over, for a clearer listen to the impressive backing track, as the dub take grabs your attention.

Great tune!
