The rarest 45 on this most collectable of British labels, in astounding flawless condition.

Allen Toussaint's mysterious Bayou gathering "The Rubaiyats " gave birth in 1968, to this one-off recording, Sansu led with the b-side first "Tomorrow" a strong Southern Soul ballad. but hides on the flipside an inventive journey into the new Orleans world of Toussaint and his right-hand Marshall E. Seahorn a pairing that created so many classic Soul recordings. Whilst retaining all the characteristics of 60's NOLA the bludgeoning brass, the Bayou beat, liberally coated with strong male vocals, the subject matter is rather unique though, it works so well.

Toussaint and Seahorn transform the world's most famous poem "The Rubaiyat" a 1000 years old, so brilliantly highlighting its message of enjoy life to the full, the mantra is "Wine Women & Song".

before you today is quite simply this cherished UK label's rarest, most-valuable & most wanted 45. Accentuated by recent NS DJ attention, particularly the legendary but now retired DJ John Vincent who is spinning it to death - to a crushing dancefloor response. 100% New Orleans, featuring totally innovative lyrics lauding the virtues of “Wine, Women & Song”, can’t argue with that or it’s rarity endorsements. This is only our 4th. copy nearly 20 years. None of this previous copies anywhere near the spanking condition.

You could of course, always hold out for the USA Sansu press - but we have found that, even harder to find, but far less eye-catching. Unconventional in the extreme but saturated in all those infectious qualities that make it usually the most-memorable spin of any evening! The prolific Allen Toussaint & Marshal C. Seahorn again craft an unmissable tune…

Considering by the established elusivity of the USA press, with see this exceptional condition British press - an investment piece.
