An August 1971 3 track EP.

A George Harrison production that failed to sell, even though Ravi Shankar was the world expert on Sitar playing, the most famous of all Indian artists, made even more famous by his collaborations with George Harrison; which led to "Sitar" influencing a wave of "Raga Rock" with the Rolling Stones, the Animals and the Byrds introducing the instrument into their some of their recordings, the Ravi sound was fashionable with Rock Music productions.

Despite all his fame, Apple 37 was still this was one of "Apple's" weakest selling 45s in the UK.

Today this disc is quite an elusive find, still complete, showing off an undamaged cover and clean vinyl

The flipside by Ravi Shankar & Aliakbar Khan With Alla Rakah. features a 3 Indian artist collaboration made up of Raga Mishra-Jhinjhoti Sarod, Aliakbar KhanSitar plus Ravi Shankar with Alla Rakah playing Tabla.

This is the quintessential tribute from George Harrison underlining the influence traditional Indian music had on Harrison and The Beatles and some of their friendly rivals.
