Extremely rare 17th January 1974 UK EMI promo copy, in fine clean condition.

Brian May's composition that featured on their 3rd album "Sheer Heart Attack" album, inspired by their Mayday 1974 performance on the USA tour supporting "Mott The Hoople" with Brian May name-checking Mott The Hoople with the line "Down in the city, just Hoople and me."

This harder side of Queen has always been a concert favourite, the hard guitar riffs coming over even stronger before an audience. Freddie Mercury leading the tight three man harmonies, backed up and partitioned by bludgeoning guitar pulses, discharged with relentless aggression, the seamless melding of the two conflicting ingredient is considered as a fine example early Queen at their very best.

It reached no. 11 in the British charts but as this 17th January 1974 Promo it is a "Queen" trophy 45, as the song was performed at most every concert Queen did for the next 12 years or more.

The song was a live favourite, performed at virtually every concert from late 1974 to 1986.

A seldom buyers market window to acquire a fine clean excellent copy of this elusive UK Promo!
