Highly sought-after rare independent Californian modern Soul dancer. Giving up 70's Funk / Boogie on one side and muscular Soulful dance on the other.

Whilst heavy duty "Searching" is many DJ's choice of play, I prefer the more subtle Soulful flipside "Nothing Left To Give".

Inspired by Tower Of Power, Earth, Wind And Fire, Cold Blood etc Anthony Johnson & Thomas Griffin crated a horn drenched, synth driven dancer. Relentless, potent and persuasive. Strong and decisive with an ending that smacks right in the face.

The flip however has a tad more subtlety, as Basey Green starts the session with punchy rhythms, it suddenly slides into a warm pool of Funky pulses. An eloquent lead vocal riding a blast horn backdrop, a fabulous "break" towards the end showcases some magnificent manipulation of the saxophone, peppered with whoops, shouts and Latin throaty antics.

If you are drawn to the styles of Tower Of Power etc. This rare D.I.Y. 45 does it up every bit as convincing as the "Big Boys".

A double-helping of solid Funk/Soul flavoured by a sprinkling of Latin herbs.
