Blues collectors & Northern Soul R&B / Popcorn DJ’s take note; this record that sits high in the long line of feisty 50’s Black R&B Gals. This 1957 45 out of New York, NY underlines that convincing style was not the preserve of only Ruth Brown, Lavern Baker, Big Maybelle etc. Theere was also some other ladies who could scream and shake it up with the best of them.

“I’m Just A Woman” is a fabulous R&B dancer. A Blues Guitar and Double-Bass driven Tittyshaker, just perfect for Pauline’s sassy presence and defiant grinding vocal.

Whilst the flip is a Deep R&B sad tale with a full Sister harmony back-up. A mournful stroller that will have R&B and Soul fans attention especial when that emotional Sax solo kicks in

Two great sides that will create interest from all corners of the R&B/Soul/Blues collectors.. as the condition is unicorn RARE!
