Description

Description

24th July 1968 Psychedelic Rock promo for the infamous Paul Raven later known as Gary Glitter .

A rare piece in the vinyl jigsaw of British Rock beginnings. Both sides written and produced by Mike Leander.

Two typically Brit for 1968 recordings that didn't sell at all. Leaving it today, as a rare curiosity, with his later unexpected success adding to the collectability demand.

Then Gary recorded an embarrassingly bad, "message-song " by Rubber Bucket – We're All Living In One Place - so very bad, you would have thought retirement must have crossed his mind. But Paul Gadd was determined to make it big! He had another try with a single as "Banzai" on independent label "Dart" this, although a slightly better conceived recording also failed to sell.

Then a year later, in March 1972, back with Mike Leander, he struck chart success as Gary Glitter - Rock And Roll part 1 & 2. The rest is history, as he finished the 70's being one of the UK's strongest selling artists.

Rock history interest, will be strong for this very hard to acquire 1968 PROMO.
