As an authentic original SHELDON matrix stamped original this slab of 1960 Chicago R&B dance is no easy find. The few that have appeared on the internet are counterfeits without the depth of rich blue labels and the "Sheldon" matrux stamp in the deadwax. To acquire a 1960 press in mint minus condition still housed in it manufacturers brown sleeve is even more "impossible"

Before you today is one such vision of scarcity, original press in flawless condition, still housed in its birth sleeve, a rare R&B treat indeed. Especially as this is one of Otis's most impressive R&B dancers.

His energetic Blues decorated with his signature "long-bent-note" guitar skills style, cascading around his rich but perfectly smooth vocal. Partitioned with some fabulous slow-burn moments of passion. A rare style of which he was a master of West Side Chicago Blues.

This is one of Otis's very best dance tune, tat has maybe lived in the shadows of his other R&B jewels like "Homework" "Sit Down Baby" and similar in make up to the fabulous "Keep On Loving Me Baby" on Cobra. With more a few lines reiterated in this "I'm Satisfied" session, from the Cobra cut from one year earlier. Personally I adore this 1960 creation just as much; but not as much as the spectacular condition, that we shall most probably never encounter again.

The flipside, the original a-side showcases West Side Chicago Blues at it most moving.

Two great sides, in eye condition preserved condition.

Condition Report

Two flawless rich blue label, sharp silver text with not a hint of storage rub. Vinyl is equally impressive, with full gloss revealing only the merest faint sleeve contact hairline when agled in the light. as you will hear, it plays loud, crisp and true.
