A MOD club Monster! A DJ essential.

The rare first local label before it's brief release on Wand, the band's first 45 after gathering an impressive local fanbase in Houston, Texas. This was to be the beginnings of ZZ Top, guitarist Billy Gibbons, first step into the music business writing and starring in both sides of this debut single. A stepping stone that would take him all the way to forming ZZ Top in late 1969.

But this wicked 45 is so much more than just a ZZ Top collectable, it is a wicked Garage growler currently cramming the floors at MOD ad R&B events. Spectacular guitar breaks punctuate the snarling lead vocal until an insane harmonica joins the fray. Powerful, uncompromising Garage, proving to be completely perfect for the MOD circuit

"99th Floor" is an essential DJ tune for the MOD events, but do not overlook the equally impressive flipside; also filled with accomplished but aggressive fuzz guitar dominance, with a suitably gnarled lead voice.

Two proper tunes, on it's seldom seen first local press.

Condition Report

Two clean labels, no writing, no tears, stains just mild storae rub (see label images). The vinyl surface reveals multiple mild marks, none affecting play; listen as the music is always the dominant fporce./
