Description

Description

RARE original 1959 "Rite" press in exceptionally clean condition.

Rare in the extreme this, lost in time 45, composed by two undocumented writers "J. Durst ad R. Lutz"; was we imagine a one-off "toe in the water" attempt to release a vocal group record that sadly failed in 1959 on a unique record label "Way=Lin Records" so my research has uncovered very little about the artists, writer, no producer is credited. NO other record released on this strangely christened imprint.

But the music is better than great. Typically New York influence, inspired by the success of The Willows "Church Bells May Ring" carrying all the same energy and drive.

The flipside is a more considered, individual harmony stroller "I Promise" benefits from a raw saxophone break as well of the seamless male voices.

Two strong sides, one very elusive disc in fabulous cocooned condition.

Condition Report
