It has been some decades since Richard Searling was strongly championing this most-wonderful of Sister albums, playing several different tracks in his post-Wigan ventures. Constantly enthusing about the standout tracks that never reached 45 release. Great taste Richard has..I and many others adore this LP too.

Certainly a superoir Diva album with the power to elevate your mood to a higher level. We thought it was time to revisit, an event when the unassuming genius of Mike Terry, held hands with the beautiful voice of Maxine Brown.

The Empress of New York Soul sings like an Angel on tracks written by Detroit poets Fred Bridges, Richard Knight & Robert Eaton. With Lorraine Chandler, Eddie Parker, Mikki Farrow throwing in their expertise for good measure. All arranged and produced by Northern Soul legend Mike Terry..

So relax and await a real treat as the sample gives up quality late 60’s Crossover Northern Soul.. tracks like...
1. Don’t Leave Me Baby - Killer Jack Ashford & Lorraine Chandler stroller
2. Just Give Me One Good Reason - Top drawer Northern Soul no 45 release
3. Seems You’ve Forsaken My Love - The genius of Bridges, Eaton & Knight
4. Sugar Dumplin’ - fabulous Sister version of Sam Cooke’s classic
5. Sunny - Maxine brilliantly deconstructs Bobby Hebb’s anthem
6. I’m In Love - listen and swoon Detroit influenced Soul at its finest!
Plus much more with a total of 10 tracks in all..

I rate LP this right up there along side The Hesitations, Metros, Freddie Butler as the finest 60’s Detroit albums ever made; and these auction pages allow us to bring Soul wonderment to collectors attention again.

Condition Report

PROMO stamped cover, two clean labels, a-Side vinyl is a sparkling Mint minus. Flip over if look extra carefully under light, there are a few light storage hairlines. As you can hear it all plays superbly clean.
