Marvin Gaye devotees alert!

... here is a unique 1965 33rpm Argentinian radio station PROMO 7" of two recordings never issued anywhere else as a 7" single.

Just in time for Christmas, jazz loving Berry Gordy came up with concept of "fireside" listening, with Marvin paying tribute to the late great Nat King Cole who had sadly past away 8 months before this session was laid down. The 1965 12 track album produced by Hal Davis, Marc Gordon & Harvey Fuqua, selected some of Nat King Cole's most memorable recordings.

The a-side "To The Ends Of The Earth" Joe and Noel Sherman, Noel Sherman, is the same song immortalized on the Northern Soul scene by Tony Middleton. With the flipside "Calypso Blues" is a Nat King Cole composition, is a persuasive display of jazzy/Latin, erotic bongo pulses carry Marvin off to a far distant place.

Just as most Nat King Coles material did, as he won over the "white" public of the USA.

The production team do an unbelievable job on delivery "Black Jazz" Marvin Gaye style, as Marvin adjusts his vocal pitch to suit the mood.

A wonder double help from the album, that RCA Argentina used to promote the LP to South America. Ironically it seems to be RCA Argentina first promo on the Tamla Motown label.
