The notorious TMG 525, the only 45 in the whole of the TMG 500 UK Tamla Motown series not have a red & white DEMO label ever made.

It has for decades, TMG 525 has teased the dedicate TMG forager, with rumors, fabrication and hoaxes that a Red & White DEMO does exist. But up to now, we have no concrete evidence and the Red & White "525" remains the "Holy Grail" of all Red & White's, as it doesn't exist.

So enter an authentic 19th. August 1965 TMG 525 "NOT FOR SALE" stickered "FACTORY SAMPLE" the nearest we TMG fanatics are ever gonna get to completing the hardest task in British record collecting. Finishing the TMG run of red and white DEMO copies. Very few have accomplished that near impossible task and what a rewarding assignment that is. I did in my younger years be fortunate enough to covet, caress and finger my way through a complete run of TMG demo's, an unforgettable experience of completeness. With #525 more conspicuous than any other, shimmering silver on black and the Red and White "not for sale" staring back at you, kind of frustrating but i do love these vinyl anomalies that drive rare record conversations and debate.

A thing of beauty, alone or within the completeness, TMG 525 is an essential piece in the jigsaw of Tamla Motown British integrity.

A legendary "Black Brit" wearing a badge of desirability..
