Utterly uncompromising Sister R&B pounder that Ace/Kent have just headed up for their latest "New Breed" CD.

Such an imposing, thumping slab of 1961 Sister R&B from Shreveport, Louisiana. Which recently triggered a sensation when it was discovered to have been released on British Starlite label in 1962 . Now a 45 held up has a British Holy Grail 7" theusual internet searches on Discogs will confirm having never listed a copy of this 1962 "vinyl-ghost"; with cat. St.45 081 a former missing number in their discography. Ironically this "missing" number is a giant Sister hunk of R&B dance you could ever wish collide with, thus it's appearance on the next Kent CD.

Before you today is the attractive original gold label USA press on Myra Smith's Royal Audio Music that has been receiving strong R&B DJ attention for several years, Margaret's well honed "Rockabilly" hardened sister attitude transfers seamlessly over into a rasping R&B dance production. Pumping horns and a Blues flavoured piano pulses, assist Margaret as she warns her man she's becoming highly suspicious; Her angst accentuated by a rasping Boots Randolph saxophone break, cutting out an impressive pause for Margaret's dentist-drill vocal.

This is a proper attitude drenched hard-strutting Sister R&B dancer, quaking with attitude, style and guts.

No wonder it got chosen by Kent to head-up their R&B CD.

Condition Report

Two brilliantly shiny gold labels, full gloss vinyl revealing just a a solitary that gives up a some low-fi ticks in the earl intro. the rest of the disc is a brilliant full gloss mint minus.
