Most likely sitting in the Top 10 of the most regular attendees of Wigan Casino or Cleethorpes Pier; as this was and still is a Northern Soul anthem that triggers euphonic recall every time you hear those jangling vibes ring. "Listen To The sound of a drummer... as it picks up pace wafting yo back nearly 50 years when this was the most inspirational sound of the all. Your mind flashes back to the first recognition TV ever bestowed on the NS scene. When ITV 's 1977 "THIS ENGLAND" used the intro as the music for that cauldron of molten iron spilling forth... few intros to a Northern Soul documentary could have done it better.

There is so very little we can say that will elevate this timeless classic any higher... catapults me back to Dave Wither's priceless analogy of why he was drawn into Northern Soul, a piece of historical comment, never to be forgotten.

The most important aspect of this listing is: It is NOT a record that has wandered through the trauma Northern Soul DJ circuit since the mid-70's. As you can hear from the sound file provided this copy play beautifully clean. From an aged collection not a DJ it has no sign turntable fatigue that unfortunately plagues the veteran copies that have resided in the boxes of UK NS DJs for decades.

Fresh, clean and ready for ownership to those of you dedicated to owning the Top NS anthems in the finest possible condition. This plays as clean as a whistle...
