Detroit scholars will not need reminding they are looking at one of the RAREST 45's ever to emerge from the Soul-cauldron of the Motor City. This 45 just never turns up in any thing other than annihilated condition.. and then only VERY RARELY!

Relentless, destructive, unstoppable Northern Soul peppered with Mike Terry moments of brilliance..with Roger Hatcher's driving vocal fueled by an exhilarating male/female chorus; that all welds into a tsunami of Detroit Northern Soul.
Witness Baritone saxophone at it's most delinquent, rasping low-blows fly like shrapnel throughout the recording. A mad-man is at the piano, surely a descendant of Richard Gatling, punching those keys, machine gun style.

Phew this is an unforgiving barrage on the senses.. a challenge to only the most accomplished of Northern Soul dancers.. Real deal hyper-Northern-Soul that is beyond-rare!!

The raw to the bone flipside, has been a Deep Soul Holy Grail for absolutely decades, with me never able to fill any of those Japanese wants list, crammed with records nobody's ever never seen before..

Labels are perfect, vinyl has never seen a turntable under it blow me off my chair today.

FOOTNOTE. there is a misspress 45 by Lee Jennings on Dottys 347 which instead of playing "Going To Get It (Bring It To You) it plays * I'VE BEEN A FOOL * which uses the near same backing track, I only know of a single solitary copy tyhat resides in New York, a one off disc.

The Platters also covered the song on their "Goin' Back To Detroit" album - Luther Dixon produced it, Larry Johnson sang lead.. by comparison it's like dipping your toes in the paddling pool at Skegness in July - whilst the spectacular vocal of Little Roger Hatcher... is like shooting the Niagara rapids of in a tin bath....

Unsurpassed white-knuckle Northern Soul ...
