Elusive late 50s Texas Blues 45. On a highly regarded Houston labels that gave so many “local” artists a fighting chance, with their eclectic catalog covering Doo Wop, Rockabilly, C&W as well as Blues.

On this recording Lightnin’ gives up pure Blues with no refinements other than skilled guitar picking and his instantly magnetic voice. As both sides deliver mournful street corner Blues. Written by the prolific Bill Quinn, owner of Gold Star Records, fir which Lightnin’ Hopkins cut over 100 recordings for through the years.

Rarely do you see the 60 year old disc in such fine clean condition, still housed in birth sleeve, with two near perfect labels. Condition could hardly be finer.
