Little or nothing is known about this soul artist who created one of the finest Northern Soul chill-out discoveries of the century.

Underlined when Sean Hampsey's highly selective "Diggin' Deep" label, released this song last year making it available to the wider public, who would otherwise have been deprived of its beauty, as so few copies are known to be with DJs, inspired by this style. I accidently came into ownership about 3 years back, with no hesitation I was dropping it on the audience at Newark's "Feed Your Soul" to a rapturous response. With this feel-good, but tantalizing jazz-soul cruiser, wafted across those fabulous Sunday afternoon surroundings.

Written by Lee himself, produced by the experienced Mervin Buchanan, who showers Lee's reaching vocal with thoughtful Jazzy influences and silky girl-group cooing. Floating flutes glide through the whole of this high-class elegant floater. Whilst retaining enough oomph to trigger Soul-dance with double-bass plucking pulses. As the softly rasping "need" in Lee's expressive vocal.

THIS IS CLASS - very rare class! .

But that goes without saying, every one of Sean's choices of for "Diggin' Deep" release sail way above the norm!

But to spin it on its original press, is proper NS street-cred at its most elusive.
