Really hard record to find in even playable condition. This listing has super nice vinyl that plays as you will hear, crisp and true. Which is essential when listening to one of Jamaica's most soulful crooners, underlined when he chose to sing his version of James Carr's "Dark End Of The Street". Larry's determination to control his own work after disappointing experoences with his brief times at Coxone & Studio led him to form his own label, Amanda.

On this 1974 creation Larry writes and produces his own work, in his preferred style, allowing his seamless voice to glide over joyous dance rhythms, considerate percussion, peppered with quirky keyboard notes, enriched by stabbing horns. Larry gives up a convincing pleading performance of "need".

The flipside "instrumental" version allows you to enjoy all the intricacies of the backing arrangement. A record that needs to be enjoyed in unhindered condition. no crackle, no pops just a smooth flow of Larry silky ways...

like the previous owner reviwed on the a-side label "Cool Vocal Raggae"
