The late great Lee Scratch Perry R.I.P., the visionary boss of Jamaican music, who sadly past away leaving an unrivalled legacy of innovative, ground-breaking writing and productions that altered the face of Jamaican music.

This 13 Brentford Road recording no way totally reflects his genius, but offers an opportunity to acquire one of his fast disappearing early sessions from his younger days, a recording full of fun, cheekiness, sexiness gliding on compelling dance rhythms, that he built his unrivalled career upon.

The 30 year old "Scratch" pulls into this innuendo saturated session, double-entendre filled joyous session, classic SKA hiccup rhythms adorned with the most delicious of girl group decoration. A sessio tyhatslowly but surely creeos under your skin as those addictive girl pull you into their mood.

The flipside by The Soul Brothers "Here Come The Minx" is a sulking Clarinet dominated Jazzy mid-tempo instrumental, ticking some boxes of Ska influences but is essentially superb Island Jazz. DEmonstrating the wealth on talent at Studio one records. Again elevates The Soul Brothers to another level of coolness, again that meandering clarinet manipulation steals the show.

Two killer tunes on one elusive and highly sought after disc.
