Laurel Aitken pushes the boat out with this "horror" filled Skinhead Reggae triumph. Inspired right at the cusp of "Hammer House Of Horrors" popularity. Echoing screams, insane screeching vocal-effects open up proceedings as the "Lochness Monster" reveals itself. Menacing this dance instrumental with its threatening behaviour. An outrageously novelty recording that perhaps only the "Godfather of Ska" could convince with. Beyond the madcap wailing growls of the not so shy "Monster" lies a wonderfully constructed instrumental arrangement benefitting from not only accomplished trumpet playing, but also a beckoning piano rhythms of dance.

in total contrast the flipside is a stunning easy-paced display of consummate trumpet manipulation, that slowly but surely creeps under your skin. Musicianship you can marvel at, with it's simple is genius approach.

Two superb example s of the '69 sound, one very sought after disc especially in this "play clean" condition.

Condition Report

4 prong centre intact, two clean labels, vinyl reveals multiple but very light surface hairlines under direct light, as yo can hear both sides play beautifully clean
