Kenny Lynch that jovial British TV personality, singer, joker and big buddy of all the big stars of the 60's. Never ever quite received the recognition his huge talents deserved. Composer, arranger, producer, lyricist brought together by the rich-silkiness of his Soulful voice.

"Moving Away" is a British masterpiece of the Big City Sound, my own totally biased opinion is; it is ever note as convincing as the Beat Ballad greats that are now changing hands for eye-watering sums. "The Drifter" "It'll Never Be Over For Me" "Walk With A Winner" etc those tunes that trigger an eruption of emotion when ever heard in a room full of "Soulies" towards the climax of the night.

"Movin' Away" for me and many others ignites all the same inner emotions, the before mentioned do.. passion and power just spill out on every word, as we ride a wave of trumpets heralding Kenny's beautiful vocal. Gentle girl-group "BabY, BAvby" steer his words to a higher plane. For a Brit, Kenny crafted a truly amazing achievement to take on the sound of "The Brill Building" and surpass most of it's impressive output.

Am I gushing too much about this master-class in Brit-Soul, directed by "Brit-Soul-Boy" Johnny Harris? I don't think so, every time I hear it, my estimation of the quality it serves up, swells to even greater adulation.

Brilliant!! not a word I use too often, but only that superlative along with "Awesome" do this production justice
