A Northern Soul all time great - a Wigan Casino anthem that catapults you back near 50 years, dropping you smack-dab into the middle of a hand-clapping, whooping throng of the Northern Soul youngsters embarking on a journey they will never forget.

Forget the "3 Before 8" "Judy Street" is Wigan Casino, any hour quintessential dancefloor fuel, just the opening vibraphone notes will instantly transport you again into your wonder-years, as a fledgling Northern Soul disciple. The NS chemistry is utterly explosive, a collaboration pulled together by the Great H. B. Barnum in July 1968. Plucking another gorgeous unknown MOD girl (Tina Mason was his first), affording her the lavish backing of Darlene Love and The Blossoms propelled by H. B. 's mastery of the full orchestra, elevates this strong young white girl's vocal into the realms of Northern Soul Soul heaven. Only H.B. could have achieved this timeless result of NS brilliance.

Take a moment to absorb what happens after the iconic attention-seeking Glockenspiel intro whisks you away into the depths of your misspent youth. H.B. brings in a guitar to drive the pace, subtle horns enrich the background whilst Judy's beseeching voice reaches out in desperation, cradled every step of the way by "The Blossoms" sweet choruses. Then the H.B. masterstroke of that muscular violin instrumental break peppered with cowbell notes, it is just pure genius. Lifting the song into another stratosphere of dancefloor euphoria. ,

THIS IS NORTHERN SOUL at its most indelible. No matter how you fight it you are now re-stationed in Wigan Casino

A true top-drawer NS classic that has endured almost 5 decades of adulation for its nostalgic powers, and is still packing the floors...
