One of the very last Northern Soul "greats", that has yet to suffer the indignity of being bootlegged or counterfeited in its entirety, its age-long elusiveness protecting its rarity status for over 5 decades, leaving this monumental 45 with its equally muscular "A Hundred Pounds Of Pain" flipside unobtainable unless you can somehow acquire an original press.

Here is an utterly gorgeous black stock copy of this breathtaking double serving of Northern Soul. The towering honking horn classic "Left Out" constructed by New Yorker Randy Stewart, along with Eddie Campbell (without Ernie). The pair borrowing heavily from The Motown sound, even though Jesse is a lone voice in this spectacular production, the barrage of horn support catapults your mind right into the vortex of a Four Tops production, accentuated a torrential Motownesque saxophone break, follow by some signature Bari-sax prompts, welding the Big City sound of New York into Detroit flashbacks.

Flip it over for a muscular revamp of Stanley Kahan, Luther Dixon & Eddie Snyder Brill Building juggernaut "A Hundred Pounds Of Pain" which again Randall Stewart uncompromising approach to the production produces a mountainous piece of Northern Soul that has perhaps lived in the shadows of more than magnificent "Left Out" for too long.

Even those iconic Yellow Moon skyline labels cannot distract you for a moment, from the majestic Northern Soul that lies in the grooves, no matter which side you drop the arm on!
