A Cleethorpes Pier anthem in just breathtaking archive condition, Jay Traynor an off-the-scale example Northern Soul Classic collecting!

A timeless dancefloor favourite in dream condition we're not likely to encounter again, any time soon..

Check out that wish triggering time-travel soundfile created by one of New York's finest writing partnerships Bob Crewe ad Gary Knight, with the accomplished Dennis Lambert behind the studio console, something special was always gonna happen, with this Brooklyn crooner. Who started his career with The Mystics singing falsetto in a five man gathering. Later, in 1963 the founder member of Jay and The Americans, produced by the legendary Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller...

although Jay was tasting real success, he went solo in 1964 with two failed singles for Coral and then two more for ABC which met with the same fate.

Ironically "Up and Over" was to be his last single for a big label, his last but by far his most memorable. Now heralded as a much-loved Northern soul anthem, highly sought after and seldom seen for sale.

Now I like me, listen and treat yourself to a mind-trip to a seaside town in 1976 when it set a packed room of soul youngsters alight with the need to dance.

Timeless Northern Soul and one of the hard to capture...
