Description

Description

Sandwiched just east of Inglewood and a little ways north of Compton this rare R&B 45 emerge from the heartlands of Los Angeles Soul music in 60's.

A D.I.Y. family affair with Inus Moore writing ad sing the gritty double helping of the Blues, whilst Bobby Moore produced and promoted the recording around the neighborhood. WE imagine this was a very limited press as today it is achingly RARE! That also managed a release on Gardin records along with his highly sought after "It Ain't One Thing It's Another".

For serious R&B / Blues collectors this variation is super-elusive. A moody piano led "Cool Playing Mama" is woman trouble lament, as he accuses his woman of "playing" out on the "Avenue" features a killer "Inus" guitar solo for his snarling disgruntlement rushes back into place.

Flip it over "Going Back Home" carries the same ingredients, but digs way deeper in genuine despair and hopelessness,

A record that seemingly never left the building down on Western Avenue as the pressing plant messed up with the labels being reversed. Rectified on the commoner Gardin press.

Bobby Moore Soul Records is one attractive, but unique imprint, the Moore family never attempted again.

RARE BLUES from L.A.
