A spectacular example of one of Britain's most-sought after MOD album.

This the second of the group's albums, Graham Bond's keyboard wizardry was of course an integral part of this bands makeup, but the unique chemistry ignited by the magical blending of Jazz with Rhythm and Blues driven by Jack Bruce on bass guitar, the crazed saxophone blasts Dick Heckstall-Smith on saxophone; legendary Ginger Baker pulses from the drums and the intricacies of John McLaughlin plectrum.
Were the qualities that bridged the burgeoning early 60's MOD scene from Jazz into Soul & R&B .As Graham Bond's team drew inspiration from the emerging Memphis sound, an admiration for Ray Charles, an awareness of Jimmy Smith and a mutual liking for Stax. Blues, Jazz and Soul had never been so aggressively fused before. The affect was staggering..

From the very opening instrumental underlines Bond's extremely combative ability with the organ, as the wolf in Virginia turns into an uncontrollable "Beast" of MOD dance.

As the album unfolds taking you right catapulted back into the vibrant club-life of mid-60's London into the very heart of the MOD culture. That is why this album is so very sought after..

Listen and prepare to go back in time, when everything important was MOD!
