Today this 45 is a seldom seen 1970 British press, underlined by the fact that the original 45 is yet to make a live appearance on YouTube.

This copy has the original 4 prong centre removed, but fortunately the most important factor, especially for DJs, is the condition of the vinyl, in this case this elusive disc is near immaculate.

Another standout Leslie Kong creation from his 135 Orange Street label, crafted late 1969, making a brief release in the UK in early 1970. Although G lemore Brown was fast becoming a prolific force in Jamaica with 11 or more singles in his first two years. "Collie And Wine" in the UK passed by almost unnoticed, UK sales were low for such an infectious dance arrangement. A record that has been made much wider know, from the inclusion in Trojan box set, since then demand for an original copy has considerably grown. As its narcotic charm weave their magic.

With Glenmore convincing with his rich vocal supported by a throng of falsetto choruses filling the landscape. A record when played loud carries all those qualities that make it unforgettable.

The straight instrumental flipside from the Beverley All Stars, brings home just how fabulously blended the dance pulses and relentless keyboard rhythms are.

Two strong sides, one tricky 45 to capture.

Condition Report

Two clean labels, four prong centre removed, full gloss Mint minus vinyl revealing only soft sleeve storage hairlines under light. Uncommonly clean condition.
