Iconic Northern Soul - a Wigan Casino anthem of major importance!

Before you is this January 1971 New York creation that simultaneously rose up to become a Wigan Casino, Cleethorpes Pier, Yate, fact everywhere, dancefloor monster, absolutely one of the biggest, most popular girl sounds ever to enter the Northern Soul arena - I've not witnessed it - but I can only image the mayhem it causes at events like Blackpool Tower weekend.

A song that triggered dancefloor domination by the NS girls outnumbering the boys 2 to 1 as they spend 2.30 minutes reliving their teenage heartbreak inflicted by those inconsiderate boys of their youth. The boys of course were far too macho to yield to such sentimentality, but inside they were secretly swooning to Gerri's angelic but totally profound delivery of sadness wrapped in hope wrapped into a gargantuan Larry Weiss production.

In the Mid-seventies one of Northern Soul 's most urgently sought-after 45's, popular in the extreme, a floor filler in the true sense of the word.

Today, so seldom coming to market - especially in such fine clean condition - investment level Northern Soul storyteller...

Condition Report

A soft faint blue pen stroke on left-centre is this beauty's only freckle away from perfection (see image). Full gloss mint minus vinyl plays perfect, not a hint of Northern Soul activity. Still housed in birth-sleeve.
