Description

Description

Same as the Marjorie Black's NS stormer on Sue, but 100's of times rarer!

Robert Bateman, Sammy Fain & Ronnie Mosley were some writing trio, add the skills of Sue's main-man Juggy Murray this is what you get, fabulous stompin-sister Northern Soul from New York. So then take the song North-West for to a basement in Buffalo New York to an ambitious street level soul label ran by William Nunn and sons who crafted, a now legendary, legacy of "home-made" Soul!

The in-basement Mo-Do studio band completely capture an authentic cocktail of horns, guitar pulses peppered with a background piano plonking out to pepper the arrangement with an irresistible background shower of keyboard decoration. Harnessed by the softly growling vocal of the under recorded "Gerald "Gene" Trotter" this his only solo 45.

Flip it over, for a superior Deep Soul ballad from the pen of Gerald Trotter and the heralded Mo-Do creative Bobby Nunn of "Bob abd Gene" fame. Produced by Bobby's father and head of the Mo-Do movement Billy Nunn. This beseeching plea as a reminder to his girl of the torture she is putting him, but he's still got his pride and "The Love In My Heart " ... much more pain girl and he will be gone.

Real-deal "Deep Soul"

Fantastic double sider!
