What a lovely problem .. which side do we lead with first?

"I Dig You Baby" currently a dancefloor and lockdown NS crowd favourite or the revamping of the Curtis Mayfield's composition by The Impressions "I Need You"; by retitling it then moving it up a notch into a strong NS dancer.

Whilst "I Dig You Baby" it right up there alongside Jerry Butler's & Lorraine Ellison; but only if you, like me, adore the warm breeze of Carolina horns, chirping girl group responses and the lazy blue-eyed lead singer, who effortlessly cruises in and out of the song, with carefree easiness.

Curtis Mayfield's "I Need You" is all the better for 7 young blue-eyed Soul boys, paying it homage, but adding youthful enthusiasm into their backing instruments and girl group friends. There are not many blue-eyed boys capable of givind a Mayfiel / Impressions classic, a run for its money.

Two really stunning Carolina Northern Soul dancers, offering a delicious a Crossover stepper one side, and a meatier horn driven Chicago influenced Northern Soul mover on the other.

A fabulous two for the price of one, NS rarity...
