Unless you're holding out for a warped copy of SOUL 35019, this is the next best thing, the completeness of the 1979 EMI British Demo copy still inside an authentic "quoted" black picture sleeve.

Only a few copies ever had the honour of being housed in this promo sleeve, that tells the story of Frank Wilson's Soul 45 being recently sold for £500, quoting it as "Tamla Motown at its finest". Over the years this sleeve has been counterfeited and added to "bare" promo copies that didn't receive the sleeve - they are of course very easy to recognize. Before you today is a mint minus authentic 1979 cover and record. Tamla Motown completeness in fabulous condition.

Now take into consideration, the copy sold in 2009 to a Humberside collector for £25,742, ($38,378) at the time, had a label signed and dedicated to Kenny Burrell by Frank Wilson himself. The very first known copy that was "borrowed" by Simon Soussan from Tom De Pierro and never returned, receiving a sad fate in the end. Tom sent a letter to his friend in the UK Ian Clark, upset that his treasured 45 had been stolen, and asked for Ian's help to get it back to the rightful owner. This sadly never happened. Shortly afterwards Frank Wilson was bootlegged under the pseudonym Eddie Foster and sent to the UK. Where it took "The Casino" by a storm. Maybe years later fate and karma played their hand as Tom's now legendary 45, was allegedly left on the top of a chip shop fryer whilst the hungry new owner was being served...

Just imagine the response by those on the dancefloor when this magical tsunami of Motown was dropped... it was of course a sensation, today considered one of the greatest Northern Soul recordings ever made.

So TMG 1170 PROMO fully complete, in the same state it left the EMI offices for Radio & Music Paper review is surely the next best thing to a warped or written on copy.

This 45 in its entirety is a rare thing, especially in flawless condition.
