Description

Description

An impossibly rare 1964 Los Angeles vocal group stroller guided by H. B. Barnum, hidden on the back of a quirky vocal-group tune simply entitled "Food" A talking rap on the virtues of exotic food, prompted by a persistent baritone sax. A creep under-your-skin creation with a humorous difference. It has a Rodney E. Jones feel to it..

An after-the-session H. B. Barnum get together made up of the various artists yet to leave for home, thinking of eating out or ordering in. A "jam" from an uncredited gathering rolling out an imaginary menu of exotic food. They'd be willing to eat after a long day, H.B. is very happy to oblige with infectious finger-clicking and licking backing track.

Armadillo Knuckles, Seagull's Eyes, creamed Rat tail, Camel Steak, are slipped onto the menu accompanied with okra...and a burping Sax!

Backed up with a wonderfully soulful revamp of Hank Blackman and the Killers highly regarded "Everyone Has Someone" the 1962 Brent recording. H.B. gives it a few raw edges, different identity and it works so well.

Doggone RARE and we love both sides and H. B. Barnum and the after-session gang relax and "Jam"
