I 've not heard this James Lamar Porter's masterpiece of young girl despair for quite some time I had forgotten that it is right up there with the greatest Northern Soul "Sister" performances of all time!

A mesmeric experience on a par with the likes Johnnie Mae Matthews, Monique, Paulette, Ruby Andrews, etc. etc.

It's 60's soul music of this calibre, that sits the Northern Soul scene on a pedestal, high above any other "lost" music style of the last century.

Just another class!

For me "inspiring" beyond-compare, of course I'm utterly biased but the song really moves me, it has everything it takes to stir my emotions. Soaring strings cradle a young girl voice that has just recovering from heartbreak, deceit, she's been misled but hopes he comes to her.

A record of this immense quality needs to be ringing out across every Northern |Soul event across the world.

I could use every superlative I've conjured up through the decades within, often over-excitable reviews - and it still wouldn't be enough praise for its mood -shifting powers.

The last time I felt as lifted as this by a soul track as this, was the first time I heard Clyde Mcphatter - Please Give Me One More Chance - over 50 years ago.

Yes, Northern Soul the greatest form of music ever, if you're no feeling what I'm feeling now - you never, ever will!

Also take time to absorb Prince Shell's Orchestra instrumental backing tracking - a work of pure genius.
