Just imagine the mayhem this play would have triggered Wigan Casino or Cleethorpes Pier circa 1974

Here's a listing for those of you who love a real obscurity, especially if it's an uncompromising stomping floor-destroyer like this "find".

Get ready a juggernaut is about to crash into your life. This extremely rare 60's Northern Soul pounder out of Raleigh, North Carolina is an uncompromising off-the-wall explosion of NS. From the very first note a typically brazen Carolina horn section blasts its way through the production; with a stabbing barrage of brass prompting Carlyle Williams to strut his way through the session with his off-beat but confident vocal delivery. His intentional hiccupping urgency, is weirdly effective as he pumps out his own lyrics whilst relentless Gatlin Gun drumming drives the pace. Hanging horns and Carlyle's booming voice is an unconventional combination, but it works so well.

Proper full-throttle 400 rounds a minute Allniter Northern Soul, genetically designed for the amphetamine fueled dancer to let rip to. Note the optimum DJ setting is 43 rpm (listen to the soundfile file we've recorded at 43 rpm) At 45 rpm the DJ may trigger a few dancefloor casualties with its ferocity.

Some may also like the brass driven mid-tempo flipside, which certainly carries some level of bizarre charm, unfortunately I found his singing style ruined, what was an impressive backing arrangement. Weird but wonderful, it will demand a second listen from you.

Ridiculously RARE! One of only 3 we've ever seen... in over 50 years.
