Unissued and mostly undocumented Motown Northern Soul - from a Princess of the scene.

Insanely RARE PROMO ONLY "President's Committee On Youth Opportunity" Program. Used to played only in school assembly and classrooms

Extremely small run for this ARP manufactured promotional 45 and certainly Brenda's rarest vinyl 45 by quite some distance. The recording was also commissioned by the "Women's Ad Club Of Detroit" advertising agency of Detroit who also put their weight into the project of keeping youngsters in school and their need for the disc was promo'd on Tamla 206312 special projects. If you care to google "Stay In school" you will discover this "President's Committee On Youth Opportunity" 45 is unicorn-rare, whilst the Tamla promo 45 is incredibly rare also.

NOTE also the acetate that floated around a few years back on "Soundlab Reference Recording" is Northern Soul fakery at it's most cynical. With Chris Clark - Do I Love You - conveniently sitting on the b-side. is NOT authentic in any way.

Here is a mint minus vinyl listing for those of you serious about Northern Soul originals, serious about authentic unissued Motown, and deadly serious about owning the very "Rarest Of The Rare". Take a listen to this most-collectable of all this Los Angeles songbird's vinyl, from an early part of her career delivering sound advice to youngsters in school. Brenda is joined by celebrities of the time who do their own tiny snippets, as separate tracks of advise on the flipdside.
Baseball stars Jim Fegeosi, Brook Robinson, Carl Yastrzemski, TV star Ivan Dixon, Jazz singer Tony Bennett, crooner Andy Williams all have their own dedicated tracks. For this project encouraging full tenure schooling.

Sound quality is crisp clean and loud, labels are flawless. Not only Brenda's rarest, but also fabulous Northern Soul presented as a part of educational history of the mid-60's.

A very special 45 indeed, for what ever part of collecting or DJing your passion lies.

So very, very rare!
