One of Phil Spector's collectors most wanted British 45 featuring the lush voices of two Northern Soul heroins; the highly respected Clydie King & Charlotte O'Hara of (What About You) fame.

Charlotte was Bonnie, debunking decades of rumour that Bonnie was an alias for Ronnie Bennett of the Ronettes. Bonnie was a busy session singer who was chosen by L.A.'s Jerry Riopelle to head-up this session, he of course later cut some standout sessions with Clydie on Imperial. Charlotte continued her "voice for hire" career working for Rodd Keith's vanity label Preview by under the name Bonnie Graham singing vanity-poems Rodd Keith had put to music for 45 release.

Bonnie & The Treasures was a one-off project released in the USA on that highly colourful Phi-Dan label. Arranged and produced in Los Angeles by two accomplished musical directors Nick DeCaro & Jerry Riopelli; Charlotte never released a record with the pair again, but Clydie produced her finest work whilst under one of the other's command.

"Home Of The Brave" another fabulous Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil composition, was also recorded by Jody Miller at the same time, Jody's release was a hit, Bobbie's take stumbled and fell by the wayside to become an highly collectable 45 no matter what side of the Atlantic the label was.

Before you today is this legendary record's rarest format, in breath-taking condition. an October 1965 British promo, looking almost a gorgeous as these two songbirds sound.

A piece of Phil Spector history that he didn't have very much to do with.
