Van McCoy's legacy to Soul music is huge, to Northern Soul music it is the most important volume of work compiled by a writer, arranger, producer in such a shot time, with allegedly over 700 songs bearing his credit in under 25 years of work; Dieing under the age of 40, we can only imagine what you would have created if his life was not cut so short.

Before you today is one of his greatest works, and one Soul music finest moments. A sublime piece of Crossover Northern Soul from that defining year of 1970, when the style, pace and atmosphere of Soul changed gear. Shifting from a roaring Mustang into a smooth luxurious limousine. Partnered by Joe Cobb to duo crafted a sublime slab of Soul, now categorized “crossover” to the collecting/DJing connoisseur.

It matters not which side you flip onto the turntables, sheer class seeps from the grooves as Bobby Reed glides through two McCoy / Cobb creations with consummate ease.
