The power of Mr. Rimmer, since his inspirational flipping over the Twisted Wheel anthem "Earthquake" to play "Opportunity Street" this record has rocketed in demand

The anchorman of Benn Hall, Rugby allniters, Dave Rimmer has recently ignited fevered renewed demand and dancefloor euphoria with Bobbi Lynn’s timeless classic. But in the true-style of Rugby’s turntable stalwart, it is not for the obvious “Earthquake” classic that Dave spins, not Nashville’s “nod” to the Motown Sound and a reliable evergreen crowd-pleaser.

That is far too obvious for Dave, who has flipped it over wowing the Benn Hall, faithful with “Opportunity Street”. Not too many Motown influences on this side. It’s a full onslaught of Nashville Soul with Mac Gayden wielding his guitar prowess through a barrage of brass, whilst the razored vocal of Ms. Lynn cuts the air with a rapping intro, that soon explodes of into a full blown journey into Northern Soul

Well done Dave, another great choice of play; underlining there is so much top-drawer Northern Soul out there still to tap into.

The a-side of course undiminished in status by Dave’s innovative alternative..

Here's an astonishingly clean 1967 British press to consider.
